Both sides are 1-1. Friday is Crispin Field at 7. Wyoming Area comes in off a 47-6 win over Hanover Area. Berwick comes in off a 36-17 conference opener at Pittston Area.
The Warriors had been punched in the mouth to open the year. Dunmore shut them out 42-0. That made Friday night in Exeter look like a release. The Times Leader and Citizens’ Voice both had Luke Kopetchny everywhere in the first half — two touchdown passes, a sneak, and an interception return for a score. The Times Leader box has that pick-6 at 53 yards; the Voice has it around 50. Semaj Morris, Lavell Brock, Dominic Bartell, Hudson Sharpe, and Michael McKernan also found the end zone in those write-ups. Halftime was already 41-0.
John Erzar’s Sunday Dispatch reprint spells out the next line without much poetry: Wyoming Area travels to Crispin to face Berwick. The same piece notes Berwick was the only team to beat the Warriors in the 2025 regular season, and that the Dawgs just put up 361 rushing yards in the Pittston win.
Berwick’s Friday at Charley Trippi is already on the board here. Brayden Cleaver’s 85-yarder. Gavin Galutia’s touchdown run and the long pick-6. Landon Zapata finishing a late drive. The Times Leader box is Cleaver 163 rushing and Galutia 124. It was also messy — the Voice had sixteen penalties and another kick-return touchdown allowed to open the night. C.J. Curry told the paper to enjoy it because Monday would collect.
They are still in different divisions after realignment. That does not move Friday. NEPA Football has the event page marked Listen. Doyle and Ulicny stay on the GOAT Rocks call when the Dawgs are home.
Full opponent write-ups are linked in the papers list. Some are paywalled.
