Staff Report. Pottsville 39, Berwick 14 at Veterans’ Memorial. Escobar both Dawgs touchdowns: a 1-yard run to tie 7-7 after Galutia runs of 11 and 35, then a late 3-yard run. Welsh 8-of-12 for 157 and three scores. Strencosky’s pick set up his 27-yard catch. Durham 9 run, 30 catch, 19 run.

H.S. FOOTBALL: Pottsville dominates Berwick 39-14 to nab second win
Dylan Callaghan-Croley’s Saturday write-up, separate from the Friday scoreboard. Welsh’s first career start: 8-of-12, 157 yards, three touchdowns. Escobar 1 and 3 on the ground. An improvised Welsh-to-Max Clews two-point made it 22-7 at the half. After Colin Kline’s leg injury, Berwick asked Pottsville to pray at midfield.
