The midweek boards moved after Week 5. North Pocono climbed. Berwick is still looking in from outside.

EasternPAFootball’s Class 4A rankings through Sept. 27 put North Pocono fourth at 5-0 after a 21-0 over Abington Heights. They were fifth on the Sept. 20 board. Shamokin is still first. Malvern Prep second. South Fayette third after its first loss. Bonner-Prendie rounds out the top five. Berwick is not in that statewide five after falling to 2-3 at Pottsville.

High School On SI’s Pennsylvania Top 25 also let the Trojans in for the first time this season, at No. 24, after that same shutout. Central Catholic still sits first overall. Berwick is not on that list either.

PennLive’s Class 4A 10 has not posted a fresh Week 5 board yet in the places this desk checks. Until it does, the story is the same neighborhood as last week: a Trojans program that opened with Berwick and kept winning gets the bump, and a Dawgs team that dropped Wilkes-Barre Area and Pottsville stays outside the statewide cut.

Friday is still Hanover Area on the road at 7 — Listen on the NEPA board, not a poll argument. Read the EasternPAFootball and SI boards at the source.
