NEPA Football lists Crestwood at 1-1 in division and 1-7 overall after a 42-7 loss at Dallas on Oct. 16.

Final and records from the Citizens’ Voice, Oct. 23. Galutia 18 carries for 105 and three touchdowns. No full box score yet. Neither line is official.

Berwick 24, Crestwood 8 on Senior Night in Mountain Top. The Dawgs are 5-4 and 2-0 in WVC Division 2. Crestwood falls to 1-8 and has dropped eight straight.

The game turned on the last play of the first half. Crestwood drove 11 plays, helped by four Berwick penalties, to the 2. With 2.9 seconds left, Teddy Taylor tried for the edge and found nothing but white jerseys. Earlier, Shiloh Escobar had ended another Comets drive with an interception in the end zone.

Gavin Galutia did the rest. He had 105 yards on 18 carries and a career-high three rushing touchdowns, his fourth 100-yard night of the year, and he's up to 754 yards. He scored twice in the first quarter, the second from 12 after a 26-yard Jake Lisnock run, for a 14-0 lead. After Crestwood's onside kick to open the third rolled out of bounds, he carried six straight times and finished it from 2.

It was the first night since the Week 3 win at Wyoming Area that all five starting linemen played together. Mike Perry and Nico Lonczynski are back, next to Henry Snyder, Luca Grozier and Demarqus McMillan, and the Citizens' Voice has the offense at better than 7 yards a carry. "For all the adversity that we've gone through, everything's right in front of us," C.J. Curry told the paper.

Now it's Dallas, unbeaten, at Crispin Field on Friday. Both teams are 2-0 in the division, and the winner takes the title. Both are already in the District 2 Class 4A bracket. Only the seeding is left to settle.
