Player lines below are the EasternPAFootball reprint of Mitch Rupert’s Citizens’ Voice box (free, no paywall). Times Leader differences sit on the row and are not treated as official either: Galutia 81 yards (this box 23-79); Escobar 9-44 (8-45); Lisnock 5-59 (4-29); Simms from 4 (this box from 3). Times Leader still has Brady Cleaver out after Wilkes-Barre Area, with Escobar at quarterback. Bryce Cleaver’s carry and interception in this box are a different player. Times Leader lists Conor Richardson at 99 passing and 58 rushing, and Angel Tejada with 4 catches for 51 (Tejada’s 4-51 matches this receiving line). This box lists Logan Richardson at 8-16-2 for 96 and 12-80 rushing, and Conor Richardson receiving 2-20. Team line here: Berwick 15 first downs, 48-200 rush, 1-4-0 for -2 pass, 198 yards; Hanover Area 11 first downs, 22-117 rush, 8-16-2 for 96, 223 yards. Two interceptions: Bryce Cleaver and Shiloh Escobar. Quarters 7-7-0-0 and 0-0-0-0 from MaxPreps (S. ScoreFinder). NEPAYinzer’s YouTube video is about 17 minutes from Hanover Memorial, not a full-game broadcast.

The Saturday papers put names next to the shutout.

Berwick 14, Hanover Area 0 at Hanover Memorial Stadium. Mitch Rupert’s Citizens’ Voice recap has the Dawgs snapping a two-game skid, back to .500, and posting a second shutout this year. The Times Leader’s piece is the same night from the defensive side: four turnovers, a fourth-down stop on their own goal line, and Hanover held off the board. Still radio only. No public video from Hanover Memorial.

Brady Cleaver stayed out. The Times Leader has him still sidelined from the injury against Wilkes-Barre Area two weeks ago, with Shiloh Escobar at quarterback. A line in the Voice reads as if Cleaver was under center. That does not match the Times Leader, and the desk follows the Times Leader. Berwick completed one pass, for a short loss. Seven different rushers. This was a ground night.

The scores were short and early. The Times Leader has Gavin Galutia’s 1-yard touchdown in the first for 7-0, then Brock Simms from four yards in the second for 14-0. Galutia’s yardage does not match across the papers. The Voice has 79 yards on 23 carries. The Times Leader has 81. Both are printed here. Neither is treated as an official line. Escobar added 45 rushing in the Voice. The team line there is 200 yards on 48 carries, and Berwick held the ball for more than 29 of the 48 minutes. The last 8:52 was 13 straight runs and a kneel.

Simms was in the middle of the other half of it. The Voice has him tipping two passes on the goal-line stand that ended the first half, then a career-high 32 rushing yards and his second career touchdown. Escobar intercepted on the goal line after one of those tips, with Hanover at the Berwick 9. Later Hanover reached the Berwick 1, and Evan Neiderhiser sacked on fourth down. Those two drives, the Voice says, were 25 plays and 137 yards for no points. Two Hanover fumbles recovered and two interceptions.

Hanover still moved the ball some. The Times Leader has Conor Richardson at 99 passing and a team-high 58 rushing, and Angel Tejada with four catches for 51. None of it became points. MaxPreps lists the final, 14-0, and prints a quarter line of 7-7-0-0 and 0-0-0-0. Individual lines for this game are not on that box. Berwick is 3-3 and 3-1 in conference. The Times Leader has the Dawgs 1-0 in Division 2, next against Hazleton Area at Crispin. Hanover is 0-6, 0-2 in Division 2, and goes to Northwest.
