Berwick is 5-4 and 2-0 in Division 2 after the 24-8 win at Crestwood (Citizens’ Voice, Oct. 23). Dallas is 9-0 and 2-0 in Division 2 after a 42-13 win at Hanover Area (Citizens’ Voice, Oct. 24). The winner takes Division 2.

Final and records from the Citizens’ Voice, Oct. 30. Saracinaj nine carries for 179 and three touchdowns. No full box score yet. Neither line is official.

Dallas 35, Berwick 7 at Crispin Field. The Mountaineers finish the regular season 10-0 and take the WVC Division 2 title. Berwick is 5-5 and 2-1 in the division.

The Dawgs opened exactly the way they wanted. Berwick went 20 plays and ate more than 11 minutes, keeping the Dallas offense on the bench. Then a fumble and a 9-yard loss stalled it, and Berwick punted with nothing to show for it. On Dallas' first snap after that, Mark Saracinaj went 80 yards. With Brady McCann's 54-yard catch-and-run already on the board from the opening minute, it was a two-score game, and Berwick never really got back in it.

Saracinaj ran for a career-high 179 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries, and the Citizens' Voice had Dallas averaging better than 11 yards a carry on a night it ran only 35 plays. "You absolutely have to come away with points there," C.J. Curry told the paper about the opening drive. "It's been our Achilles heel all season."

Berwick has played most of the year without quarterback Brady Cleaver, hurt in Week 4, against a schedule with six playoff teams on it. The bracket is official Sunday. The Citizens' Voice has Berwick as the No. 5 seed in District 2 Class 4A, likely at Wallenpaupack (6-4) next week, and Curry is already thinking about a Buckhorns back with about 1,200 yards.
